Charging & Maintenance Tips
This is a maintenance-free (non-AGM) starting battery. To help maximize service life:
- Keep it charged: Batteries below ~12.4V are more susceptible to internal corrosion
- Not driven often? Use a battery maintainer/trickle charger to prolong lifespan
- Check alternator charge rate: Weak charging is a common cause of early failure
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this battery fit my vehicle?
Check the compatible vehicles list above. If your vehicle is listed and you verify the dimensions match your battery tray, this battery should fit. Always measure your battery compartment if unsure.
What does 850 CCA mean?
Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) measures the battery's ability to start your engine in cold weather. 850 CCA means this battery can deliver 850 amps at 0°F (-18°C) for 30 seconds while maintaining at least 7.2 volts. Higher CCA ratings generally provide stronger starting performance, especially in colder conditions.
How long will this battery last?
Battery lifespan varies with climate, driving habits, charging system health, and electrical load. Hot climates and frequent short trips can reduce battery life. Regular charging system checks can help maximize lifespan.
Can I install this myself?
Battery replacement is a straightforward task for most DIYers. However, some European vehicles may require battery registration/coding after replacement. If you're unsure, we recommend professional installation.
What is a DIN battery?
DIN refers to the German industrial standard (Deutsches Institut für Normung). DIN batteries are commonly used in European vehicles and have different dimensions and terminal configurations compared to Japanese (JIS) or American (BCI) batteries.
